  • What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is an idea buit around a community helping ensure the success of a local farm. The way the community is able to help is to buy a share from the CSA program that farm is putting on. After buying into the share you become part of that seasons CSA. You will then begin receiving a weekly box of seasonal vegetables, meats, and other products the farm produces.
  • What are my obligations?
As a member, you are obligated to come out to the farm every Wednesday or Thursday to pick out your share. Pick up hours will be posted before the start of the CSA season and are subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances. CSA shares are only available for pick up during posted days and times.
  • What is Market Style CSA?
A market style CSA is one that allows a more customizable share for the member. It is called market style because the product will be laid out on tables similar to a farmers market; the member is allowed to make their selections based on their families likes and dislikes.
  • What will a typical share have?
Our CSA will be slightly different than most, we will be able to offer more desirable, high-quality produce for a longer season. Because we grow hydroponically as well as in the soil we can offer things like slicing tomatoes, seedless cucumbers, mixed lettuce, asparagus, and eggs from the first week in June through the last week in November. A typical share will have a pound or two of tomatoes, a pint of cherry tomatoes, English slicing cucumbers, a bag of mixed lettuce, and a pound of asparagus. Also, seasonal garden vegetables like carrots, garlic, watermelon, and winter squash.
